Rio offers the most increadible settings and conditions to Stand-up Paddle surfing.

The sport has Hawaiian roots, from the 1940’s, when some surf instructors developed the technique to get a better view of the surfers in the water and incoming swells, and since its arrival in Rio 2005 it has become on of Rio’s most popular water based activities .

SUP  is a full-body workout, as well as a creative way of staying close to nature, since its versatility allows the practitioner to paddle in rivers, lakes, lagoons and the sea. Like surfing, is really fun, but unlike surfing, is easy to learn. Usually, after a one-hour lesson, people that had never surfed before find themselves paddling around, confident and very comfortable in the water.

Our specialist local partners offer a range of SUP experiences, from Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, to the coast of Buzios and Paraty.
